Ankara Clarke is a Jamaican Visual Artist, Designer, Educator and Entrepreneur who hails from the city of Montego Bay. She practices Surrealism by juxtaposing tropical flowers, fruits and plants to aid with her visual story telling.
Ankara Clarke is a Jamaican Visual Artist, Designer, Educator and Entrepreneur who hails from the city of Montego Bay. She practices Surrealism by juxtaposing tropical flowers, fruits and plants to aid with her visual story telling.
Although she was born in Montego Bay, she spent most of her childhood in Hanover. The flora and fauna from Hanover inspired Ankara's future artworks. She attended the Montego Bay High School for Girls, as well as the Montego Bay Community College where she attained her ASc. in Clothing and Fashion. She then went on to attain her B.Ed. in Visual Arts at The Mico University College. She was a Visual Arts Teacher at Jamaica College.
